Band : Clarinet

The popular clarinet can play a wide range of notes, from soothing, bluesy low tones to piercing, jazzy high tones. They are commonly made of composite materials, but some are manufactured using special wood called Granadilla.

Clarinets are perhaps the easiest of the woodwind instruments to play. Like other woodwinds, sound is made by blowing through a mouthpiece with a reed. The vibrations of the reed in turn make your air vibrate, which produces sound. Notes on the clarinet are formed by pressing keys that open and close holes along the body of the instrument.
