Orchestra : Your Instructor's Role

Count on your child's school orchestra instructor to help with the following:

  • Encourage your child to learn and practice so that he or she can contribute and enjoy playing in the school orchestra
  • Offer feedback on your child's progress
  • Provide opportunities for your child to perform with the orchestra

Many school districts host an orchestra-parent information session during each school year. This session offers you an opportunity to meet the instructor(s) and make arrangements for your child's instrument. Representatives from Jent's will be available on site to help you arrange to purchase or rent an instrument for your child. Your child’s school will notify you with the dates they intend to host one of these sessions. We hope to see you there!
