Orchestra : Violin

The violin is the most widely recognized instrument in the orchestra family. Since the middle 16th century, the beautifully crafted instrument has been used to delight and entertain music listeners and players everywhere.

The violin is the soprano voice of the orchestra, and its high pitch soars above the other instruments. As a result, it is usually used for lead or solo playing, especially for fast passages. This stringed instrument is usually played by dragging a bow across the strings, but you can also pluck the strings for a unique sound.
